Rithika Senthilkumar, B.S.
Honors Thesis Student
Rithika received her B.S. degrees Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, and Public Health in 2022. She completed her senior honors thesis at the Richardson Lab and investigated how alcohol impacts oligodendrocyte lineage during adolescence in male and female mice.
Andrea Silva-Gotay, Ph.D.
Graduate Research Fellow
Andy received her PhD in Neuroscience and Behavior in 2022. Her research in the Richardson Lab focused on elucidating the role of sex hormones on the myelination of the prefrontal cortex and amygdala circuits during adolescence. She is currently a Medical Writer and Consultant at Whitsell Innovations, Inc.
Nabil Amira, B.S.
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Nabil received his BS degrees in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, and Psychology on the Neuroscience track in the Spring 2023. He first joined the lab in Fall of 2021 to Spring 2022. He will start a Masters in Business Analytics Program in the Fall 2023.

Sebastian joined the lab as a PREP student in June of 2020 until May 2021.
Michael McDonald, B.S.
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Michael received his BS degrees in Psychology and Neuroscience. He joined in the Summer of 2018.
Sirisha Nouduri, B.S.
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Sirisha joined the lab in May of 2018. She received her BS degrees in Psychology on the Neuroscience track and Mathematics. As a research assistant, she studied how alcohol impacts oligodendrocyte lineage during adolescence in male and female mice. She's currently a Clinical Research Assistant at Baystate Health.
Kyle Lucier, B.S.
Honors Thesis Student
Kyle received his BS degrees in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and Psychology on the Neuroscience track in 2019. He joined the lab in Fall of 2016 and conducted his honors thesis studying how binge drinking alcohol during adolescence affects the myelination of corticolimbic circuitry in rats.
Sam Scott, M.S.
Honors Thesis Student
Sam joined the Richardson Lab in the Spring of 2016. After working as a research assistant, an honors thesis student, and a research technician, he received his Master's in Neuroscience and Behavior in 2019 focusing on studying the effects of binge drinking on myelination in the developing adolescent brain.
Liz Tavares, B.S.
Lab Technician and Lab Manager
Liz graduated from UMass with a BS degree in Psychological and Brain Sciences. Then she worked as a Lab Technician for the Richardson lab supervising the undergraduate work and training students on new techniques, while also studying the vulnerabilities of developing nodal domains to alcohol.
Gabi Molica, B.S.
Honors Thesis Student
Gabi received her BS degree in Psychology on the Neuroscience track. She joined the Richardson Lab in Fall of 2017 and worked on her honors thesis project studying the nodes of Ranvier in the lab's binge drinking model.
Monica Kearney, B.S.
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Monica obtained her BS degree in Nutrition on the Health Sciences track. She joined the lab in the Spring of 2017 and assisted on various projects in the lab.
Lynn Bengston
Lab Manager
Lynn was the manager for the Richardson lab since 2008. She oversaw activities in the lab and helped with the execution of each project. She retired in the Spring of 2020.
Eileena Silva, B.S.
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Eileena obtained her BS degree in Biology. She joined the lab in the Spring of 2017.
Aimee Lin
Honors Thesis Student
Aimee completed her Honors Thesis with the lab in 2018. She researched the density and morphology of microglia as an indicator of inflammation in the mPFC of adolescent rats exposed to binge alcohol drinking.
Yi-Ling Lu, Ph.D.
Graduate Research Fellow
Yi-Ling received her Ph.D. December 2016. She is studying sex differences in neurodegenerative disorders in her postdoctoral position in the Scharfman lab at the Nathan Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research. Congrats to Yi-Ling and Yu-Ting on their new baby, Wylie!

Jesse McClure, Ph.D.

Jesse got his Ph.D. in May 2016 and is now studying behavioral genetics in dogs in the Karlsson laboratory at UMass Med.
